Are Gays Going To Hell?

The following is an edited reply to a question posted on a FB group, and is not intended to be a fully comprehensive study on the subject. The question said something to the following: “I’m gay, am I going to hell?”

Please read the whole message, even if some of it feels offensive (which is not my intention) – near the end is the most important.

First thing you need to understand is that God loves you, and He doesn’t want you to go to Hell. Jesus came to set us free from sin (and homosexuality is a sin, just like adultery, pornography, beastiality, etc), and also to give us eternal life. God expects everyone to trust in Him and in His sacrifice, and also to repent (turn from) our sins.

I would actually highly recommend you to go to Dr. Michael Brown (ask Dr Brown, the Line of Fire) on youtube, find his official channel and search for and watch his videos on homosexuality and being gay, he handles it in a much more eloquent and soft way then I will. And he’s been a spokesman on many social issues including this for years, and has talked and interview experts, etc. (naturally he is also heavily and unjustly attacked by the left). He’s a Messianic Jew by the way.

Everything I’m about to say is either based on my understanding of the Bible, my own thoughts, and my foggy recollection (maybe not totally accurate) of things I’ve heard from experts in the field over the years. You won’t hear a lot of this if you don’t go to the right sources, because it’s generally suppressed information, because it goes against a larger agenda at work.

One of the biggest lies today is that you’re born gay AND that you can’t change (in fact CA wants to pass a law that would essentially ban any sort of help to reverse being gay… even if you yourself sought such help). That’s a lie. No one knows if you’re born gay, and in all likelihood, it’s due to things such as abuse or unchecked behavior or a broken family and confusion as a child – which is growing with liberalism – and there may be rarer cases where you’re hormones are out of balance (and there may be intentional reasons behind that, which I won’t get into right now). And, as a Christian, I believe there can also be spiritual influences at work as well. It is not God’s will or plan for your life for you to be homosexual, it’s a perversion of His intended creation. You are not being the whole individual that God has for you to be. He has so much more in store for you.

***There are plenty of testimonies of people who have been supernaturally set free from homosexuality after receiving Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, and I think also those who after being saved received prayer and counselling in the Word of God (the Bible). There are some Christians who have never had the feelings leave them, but they have made a conscious decision not to follow after those feelings and lusts for the sake of following Jesus Christ. And there are still other tested and proven counseling methods that have helped many former homosexuals to go straight (who are then often persecuted by the gay community) – again, Dr Michael Brown will mention that in more detail in some of his broadcasts.****

If the whole world suddenly became homosexual… do you think that would be beneficial? We wouldn’t last long would we? Someone’s gotta make babies, as one of the things that God designed us to do (in holy matrimony of course) – He made Adam and Eve, not Adam & Steve, right?

***Did you know that homosexuality is statistically more dangerous for you then smoking cigarettes, and I mean it’s more likely to take more years of your life away than cigarettes are. Think about it, you’re sticking your privy part into a hole meant for feces… it’s not only dangerous, it’s disgusting. It’s a perversion of what God intended (it violates the sanctity of God-given gender and sexual relations), it’s robbing you and someone else of a better life, and it’s detrimental to society in multiple ways, including pulling them away from God, and it will serve to deteriorate a society (some believe there is repeated Historical precedence for this as well).****

I know you probably think it feels good, and you can’t imagine what life would be without it. Well, that’s exactly how many addicts feel, even though their addictions are not good for them or for those around them. I have been personally addicted to some perverse things in my lifetime, which hurt not only me but others, and to the point where I didn’t know if I would ever be able to stop, or if I’d ever be able to have a normal relationship. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ that He has helped me to largely overcome those things, and now I’ve been married for about 4 years to an amazing woman.

Look, God has the right to judge sin, and sin is not allowed in His presence (good thing we have Jesus to wash away our sins, and set us free from the bondage of sin which leads to death). You can’t deny God’s existence through any sort of evidence or logical reasoning, so are you going to deny His existence because you don’t want to follow what He says, and be accountable to Him? You will be accountable to Him, as will I, and everyone on this planet, whether someone wants to deny Him or not, they’ll learn the truth one way or another.

God sent the Flood of Noah as judgement on sin – the evidence of which is still global on so many levels. God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah as judgement on sin, and many believe the biggest sin was out-of-control rampant & violent homosexuality – the remains of which can still be seen today, turned to ash from extreme heat, and still pelted with chunks of lab-grade (or higher) sulfur, which does not occur in nature. God sent the plagues to Egypt and drown its army in the sea, not only to display His power, but also for judgement on sin – remains of the army can still be found at the actual crossing location, as well as evidence of Joseph and the Hebrews in Egypt, & I believe also of the plagues. God drove the inhabitants out of the land of Israel before the Jewish people, not only to set Israel up for delivering the world’s Messiah, our Saviour, Jesus (so we could even have the option of going to Heaven), but also as judgement on 400 years of sin, horrible atrocities including sacrificing their children to idols, practicing witchcraft & divination, homosexuality, beastiality, and incest, among many other things, see Leviticus chapter 18, among other passages. And God still has a coming judgement on the ungodly (see 2 Peter 3:3-11, among other passages).

Some other Scriptures I recommend reading concerning your question on if those who practice such things are going to Hell:

-Romans 1:16-32

-Ephesians 5:3-6
https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Ephesians-Chapter-5/

-1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Also see:

-Romans 6:23
“23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

-Romans 8:1-2
“1. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

After Jesus told Nicodemus that we must be Born Again in order to even see and enter into the kingdom of God (through the Holy Spirit of God coming inside of us, as is revealed in Scripture), Jesus continued on to say:

-John 3:12-21
“12. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13. And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

***The most important thing that you need to do first and foremost is to get Saved and Born Again, let Jesus and His Holy Spirit inside of you and see what He will do, you’ll be amazed. Admit to God that you’re a sinner (not just in homosexuality, but I’m sure you’ve committed many other sins, just like everyone else has, you’re as worthy of Hell as anyone else), and that you need a Saviour. Thank God for sending His Son, Jesus Christ to come and die on the cross to forgive you of your sins, and ask Jesus to forgive you, and to come into your life and to be your Lord and Saviour. And ask Him to send His Holy Spirit into you.

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (which we have eye-witness testimony, historical accounts, physical evidence, and logic to support), you will be saved (see Romans 10:9).

Be willing to let His will be done in your life, and not your own. Secondly, do what you can to repent – turning to Jesus and asking Him to be your Lord is the first step, and the Holy Spirit will continually work on your mind. Start reading the Bible every day (I recommend a KJV, and doing both some New and Old Testament). And find a good, Bible believing, Bible practicing church. Also, be prepared to be hurt sometimes by people, and not to take it to heart, forgive them (as we are commanded by the Lord to do, lest we be not forgiven), and remember that Jesus is Jesus, Christians are people, and we don’t always act as we should.****

The Bible is clear that no one is righteous (several passages), everyone is deserving of Hell, that’s why God sent down His Son Jesus Christ, so that we could be saved. Our God is willing to reason with us.

Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
