It was hidden away in Jewish archives for decades, but the Hebrew manuscripts of the Gospel of Matthew have been found. Two of them contain a vitally important link to Jesus’ lineage, which English Bibles have missed.
Matthew’s Gospel DOES give the genealogy for Mary, and hence the actual blood line of
Jesus, which is essential to Him being the Messiah and rightful heir to the Throne of
David. But it’s in the ancient Hebrew Gospel of Matthew, you will not find it in the
English Bible, which was translated from Greek, which was translated from Aramaic,
which was translated from Hebrew. The Joseph mentioned in Matthew 1:16 is Mary’s
father! Making exactly the last 14 generations that Matthew also mentions.
